Works great
It was fairly easy to install. Don't use the cardboard cutting template that comes with the powerBridge, the template fits very snuggly onto the power boxes and the wall doesn't have stretch so I ended up having to cut the hole bigger to get it to fit. For the other end I went to the PowerBridge website and downloaded the cutting template and the fit was perfect.
Simple, clean solution
Works exactly as advertised. Do be aware that you need to provide your own HDMI and RCA (component video) cables between the two instances.
Shortcomings:
- slightly flimsy: face plate bends easily on a wall, so an end is likely to stick up a little off the wall if it is uneven or you have limited space for the connectors due to insulation pushing back on them
- expensive: would represent great value for money at the $50 mark, is definitely expensive at twice that.
Pros:
- simple to install (though you must cut two holes for each plate)
- complete package for power solution
Product is well made but does not include instruction DVD
I ordered the PowerBridge TS-CVH2-6 Total Solution Cable Management Kit with AV and Dual HDMI (White)from Amazon to complete a wall installation of my 60 inch plasma TV. I received my shipment yesterday and noted the actual Powerbridge appears to be well made and exactly what I need to complete my wall installation with the HDMI and Power cable inside the wall. My only issue with the "Kit" is the included DVD and Instructions, there isn't a DVD and the instructions are a single page mirco-print paper which really doesn't explain the installation process all that well. Amazon's "What's in the box" also shows the "Kit" includes a template which was also not in the box. I looked at the PowerBridge website and found two versions of this "Kit" one with and one without the DVD. Since the price of this unit is $30 less on Amazon than the Powerbridge site, I believe this is the cheaper Kit which does not include the DVD. The missing Template is another matter, "Guessing" what size hole...
