over-built!
If you like simplicity and durability in a scope mount to limit failure down the line, the Freedom Reaper is a great choice. I bought mine actually for a retro-project as it is the closest I could find for a primitive red dot sight to emulate the guns from the Vietnam Son tay raid. However, upon opening the package I was impressed with the quality of manufacture, accurate machining, perfect surface finish and sturdy design. By eliminating the often weak joint between mount and rings (these are half machined in place), it adds a level of robustness beyond what most expect.

Scope Mount
Having previously installed this one piece scope mount on a Browning X-Bolt I wanted to use it on my AR. The first one received have the wrong scope caps and the screw heads dug into the thread holes on the caps. I sent an email to the company to inquire about what the problem could be. I recieved a response in less than an hour! This was on a Sunday! I explained the problem and received another prompt reply on Sunday stating that the wrong caps had been supplied with the mount and that I could expect replacements to be sent ASAP. They were and by mid week all was well and the scope was mounted on my AR. Oustanding product with above and beyond customer support! I will buy this product again for future scope mounting tasks.
Does what I need
Needed something to temporarily mount a scope on my CMP type A2 match rifle while checking out different loads. No problems and didn't experience the issue the other reviewer had with the screws. Lapped the rings, but they were already in good shape from the factory and not much material was removed.
