Best tripod for the price
The quality is terrific. Really an ideal tripod.
Two minor areas of concern:
-The ball head is permanently attached. It's pressed onto the central tube or something. You can't replace with another head.
-The ball head will not hold some cameras in the vertical position. A 5D Mk3 with 24-105 doesn't want to stay in the vertical position. This combination is probably right at the tripod's rated max so no biggie.

A Steal
I was looking for a very light weight tripod yet sturdy tripod that would extend at least up to my eye level. I am 5'6" and with the camera connected it's perfect. I have a Nikon D3200 that with the zoom weighs just under 2 lbs and this tripod is rated for 4.5 lbs so I'm well under. I also was looking for a tripod that would extend to this height but fold down to below 20" and at 19" this is perfect. This is a Manfrotto tripod which is a quality company unlike cheaper brands like sunpak, etc. All and all, for the price I paid, this is a steal

The Manfrotto MK393 is quite good for the price you pay. I wouldn't trust any other brand.
