Neat Binoculars
Bought a pair of these for my wife's mother but after trying them out decided to keep them; Bought the mother-in-law a second pair [same model]... She loves it too so I guess that I'm a good son-in-law after all.

Great quality
These are a great pair of binoc's for the money. No you probably won't be able to see Russia from Alaska, but you will be able to clearly see all the players on the field and all the actors on stage. They have an all metal quality feel, easy to adjust with a diopler to fine tune on the right side. The only problem I have with these binoc's is you can't use a tripod or any other stab divice to mount them. I still recommend them.

First Impressions: A new take on proven first gen. N1
It just been a few days with the Nikon 1 S1. I lost my original first generation N1 V1 camera, so I have few lens with no body. I will be using a neck strap, even tho you could put this camera in a pocket. I like the output from the 10.1 MP Sensor. There is a newer 14 MP sensor, but I don't feel like its completely different level of image improvement for my needs. I plan on having two N1 bodies someday, just going with the smaller sibling first. The N1 S1 has no AA filter, I guess a new trend lately.

So far I'm loving it!
I have had my S1 for just 2 days. I also purchased the Sony NEX-F3 and I'm leaning towards keeping the Nikon 1 S1. Both are taking great images and are both easy to use and navigate through the menus. I am using prime lenses on both (f/1.8). I need to also play around with the kit lenses some. I love the nikon feature of taking a video of my two little ones and being able to also take still photos. One of the features that most appealed to me and it works great! With big moments like their first steps, you can have a video and stills. Genius! The s1 is my favorite so far bc of that feature, as well as it being smaller and lighter. I was able to put it in my north face fleece jacket pocket this morning. Both cameras have been able to keep up with my kids moving so quickly as well, in low light the images aren't AS sharp as my dslr (nikon d5000) may be, but they are not blurry like my point and shoot type camera or my iphone 4s and with more practice, I'm sure they will improve or with...

This little camera is unbelievably powerful. Bought it for my wife as a point and shoot because she doesnt feel comfortable taking the D7000 everywhere. The photos in "Auto" on this camera are sensational and it is really easy to use.

It's a nicely made bag and made of quality material. I purchased it to travel and carry my equipment but after receiving it it was really bigger then I realized!

I had purchased the Super Coolite 5 lighting equipment from Interfit. I was disappointed that it did not include a bag, which is a must have and should be included, shame on Interfit. They do sell seperately of course the Interfit INT437 bag which is specifically designed for this lighting equipment. Everything fits very nicely. There are two levels to the bag. At the bottom of the bag are four flexible straps that are designed for the two tripods that come with the Super Coolite 5 lighting system. The straps fit very snug around the tripods. No sliding around in the bag. I placed the power cables, softbox rods, softbox covers, external softbox covers in this section as well. I also placed my own circular reflector there as well. I also should have enough room for my camera tripod as well. The floor of the second level is then placed over the bottom section and is attached with velcro. Very nice 12x50 binocs w/ rangefinder feature
I compared the 12x50 fusion with the 7x26 monocular version - both utilize the same laser system 5-1600 yards is claimed, but at 1600 yards the beam does diverge and a whole bunch of stuff gets in the circle of rangefinding - you will want to practice on skinny or fat near or far objects to become proficient with the system day and night.

Busnell uses their fine optics for both transmission and reception of the laser pulses. On the 7x26 monocular, the beam is tramsitted out of the right hand lens using a prism to insert the beam into your sight picture. Both systems, when powered on, present a red colored circle that marks the center of your target. That circle holds ALOT inside it at 1500 yards+! the laser is going to work on the strongest reflection from inside the circle in either the binocular style or monocular style units. The laser is sent out of one lens on the binocular and its reflection is picked up off the other lens. On the moocular there is a dedicated...

Great Binocular Rangefinder
First of all, this Binocular Rangefinder only weighs 32.7 oz (the 10x42 model is 31 oz), I am not sure where the previous reviewer got the 48 oz.
I love the features and the design. I really love the bullet drop holdover feature! Don't expect to be able to range something small at 1600 yards, that is just not realistic. Read the spec before complaining about it (Flag 10 - 400 yards, Deer 10 - 500 yards, Tree 10 - 1000 yards, and Reflective 10 - 1600 yards), so an Elk is probably up to around 750 yards because of it's size. The color of the object, angle, and how intense the sun light is also affect its performance, just like any rangefinders on the market.
Great price range for what it can do compared to the onces which cost thousands of dollars!

Good bino/rangefinder
Mostly pleased with rangefinder. I'd rather have a black display. The red/orange is hard to see in bright sunlight. I don't see the blue tint that some have complained about. My first attempt was ranging the roof of a house on the horizon that I estimated to be 1/2 mile away. It ranged 1368 yards. I believe the newest model claims 1750 yards and has larger buttons. The drop in inches seems to agree with some trajectory charts. I recommend making copies of the charts for your bullet from the Bushnell website to determine how to program the ballistic info in the rangefinder.
I would recommend this rangefinder.

Beautiful beautiful backdrop at a great price!!
Love it love it love it. I am looking for more backdrops for my small home studio, and while I am very smitten with Silverlake color smacks, those are only 5x7 and they retail at twice the price of these Westcott backdrops. I love the fact the black is velvet, I think it gives the backdrop a little more depth, and I love the size, as I can shoot full length.

It is very easy to use too, I have monopoles set up in my basement, and I can just toss this over the top of the white vinyl roll I usually have hanging from my monoppoles, and it is so lightweight it doesn't require gaffers tape or anything. It does have a sleeve to slide a rod through, but I need quick change abilities so I don't use it.

I will say it is not as wrinkle free as color smacks, I love the fact there is no WAY to get a wrinkle in the color smacks. Also, it is not a super heavy weight fabric, a little denser than muslin but not as sturdy as canvas. So, if you were hanging it on a portable...
