Impressed When I Got It
If you are trying to find the perfect camera backpack online, I feel your pain! I spent a lot of time researching backpacks and when I ordered this bag, I wasn't confident that I would be happy. When you look at the picture of the gal with this pack on, it looks huge. I was delighted to find that the size was right in line with what I wanted. I would encourage you to focus on the actual size specifications if this is a concern.

I have photographers who work for me, taking photos and SLR video for catalogs and our online business. We do not use the bags for hiking. Our requirement is that we need to pick up our gear and change shoot locations frequently. This bag meets our needs exactly. The SLR, lenses, sound equipment, etc. all have their own safe places to be stored...I love it. The quality meets my expectations.

Good but not perfect
I was looking for a combination bag. One that I can travel on business with my laptop, iPad and camera. If I am mainly going on a camera trip the backpack is perfect; however it lacks flexible storage space for all the 'crap' I like to take along.
The quality is very good and appears that it will last a long time with a lot of 'abuse' when getting in and out of airplanes and going through security.
The top storage section remains very stiff and difficult to access, perhaps with time it will become more pliable and easy to use.

Excellent bag. Perfect size.
Needed a bag "in between size" that would carry gear in the field without being too bulky. Wears well, carries 70-200 on my Nikon D7100 as well as a couple other lenses, flash(es) and a variety of other photographer odds & ends.

Venture 30
This is an upgrade for me from their previous nature pack. The nature pack has been all over the world with me and if I had to hike or travel it was the best. I had two problems with the nature pack that were well addressed in the venture 30. The clips for clipping the chest pack in were difficult, they covered them with cordura and I had to cut the nylon away especially in the winter to unclip the two packs and even clipping the chest pack to the nature pack was a problem. So the new clips on the venture resolved this. The other problem was access to the water pack, on the nature it was on the inside, difficult to insert. On the venture it is on the outside in back, much easier. Also, even though the venture holds the same amount of gear as the nature it is more refined, more compact, less weight more slimline. Also on the nature you only had the option of putting your tripod on the side, on the venture there is now a way to put it directly down the middle so the weight is more...

Well thought-out photographer backpack
The backpack absolutely meets my expectations. I usually carry four lenses, including a 70-200 mm f2.8 Canon), plus assorted gear, plus a sturdy carbon fiber tripod. The backpack can accommodate all that, and has room for a lightweight jacket. It rides comfortably on my hips, and meshes well with the front camera carrier, also by Clik Elite.

Great pack!
I got this before a trip to Hawaii to carry my Nikon and lenses and couldn't have been happier. We did a lot of walking/hiking and still had plenty of room up top for other items.

Great Bag
Lowepro seems to be getting better, as this is the best i have seen so far.
The colour Gray/polar blue is a nice combo.
If you like the quick access of the slingshot, this has it.
If you like the comfort of a backpack, this has it.
If you like Domke for its mild padding, this has it. although the lower compartment is heavily padded. Top section has no padding,which is what i like about it. It does not have that boxy look.
It looks like a normal everyday backpack, but is very versatile

One strange thing though, Lowepro claims it is not for a DSLR with grip, but yet my D90 with grip and 17-55/2.8 lens fits comfortably.

Did a TON of research on backpacks before taking my Canon 40D on a trip to Europe last summer. this backpack is astounding in what it can carry and how easy it is to use. It's the only backpack with hip straps I found that also allows you to get the camera out without removing the entire backpack from your shoulders. Super helpful. Holds a ton of stuff. Doesn't look like a camera bag.
