Just wish this came with a carrying storage case. The metal construction is very sturdy. The eyepieces are easily removable. The clips are spring mounted enabling ease of positioning the slide. Adjustable hole disk has several size holes for less or more light to get through. Comes with batteries as well as a plug-in power unit. Another switch for brighting/lessing of light. The mechanical piece that comes with it does not have instructions, however with a small amount of guess work, you can mount it on the table. The viewing is fantastic as far as I'm concerned. the large knobs are for greater amounts of movements, the smaller ones for more accurate detailed viewing. Now I'm getting spoiled by this microscope in that I'm getting into the habit of collecting whatever I want to look at in minute viewing. I'm quite satisfied by what I'm doing and what I'm seeing at the microscopic level and maybe one of these days, get serious enough to become an amateur scientist (if there is such a...

works great. got this for my 8 year old nephew for Christmas and he loves it. We cannot wait till summer so we can go hunt down more to look at.

This was a wonderful, heavy-duty scope. We've looked at so much under it already. My grandson thinks this is the grandest thing in the world. Maybe it'll cause him to be a research scientist someday. WELL worth the money!!!!!!!
