Great Camera for the starter.
This is by no means a professional camera. It will do any and all that an amateur would like to do but it is not going to replace a studio camera. I love this camera, got one after using a friends to shoot a couple of events. I can easily see myself using this to do family pics or event pics but don't start marketing yourself as a pro with this one. It has an excellent battery life and durability. You will want to play with your own settings instead of the auto features, it gets it wrong more often than naught.

Good semiprofressional camera
I like the functionality of this camera as it is easy to operate but it is not as I expected it to be. I am used to a more professional camera and this one you are limited to what all you can do.. It is overall a good camera and well worth the price . It has features that guide you through the steps of photographing in certain situations , therefore a camera for anyone that wants a good point and shoot camera.

D3200 is Nikon at it's Best!
I recently ordered a new red D3200 with a two lens bundle including the standard 18-55mm VR and optional 55-300mm VR zoom/telephoto. At a little under $900.00 it wasn't cheap, but wasn't overly expensive either. It replaced my D3100 and hasn't disappointed! Light and quick are both words that come to mind... Having the owner's guide preset on the viewer is handy. The only appreciable disappointment is that the wi-fi feature is limited to operating systems on smart phones and newer tablets, but not any standard windows applications such as Win8 which my laptop is pre-loaded with. So it's back to the good ol' usb hardwire just like all the older models. Another quirk is that the data cable is proprietary to Nikon, thus no stopping by for a replacement at the local discount chain store. The red body is absolutely gorgeous to boot! Impressive Camera
I'm extremely please with the quality of this camera. It's remarkable fast and the quality of the photos is awesome. I found this bundle about $22.00 cheaper at another site, but I know Amazon will stand behind the customer should there have been a problem.

This camera does so many different things that I have had to read the book several times. It will take a while to master all of its features. I'm using it often to practice since I'll be heading to Alaska in a few weeks and expect to come back with great photos and videos.

I purchased two additional 64 Gig memory cards and one additional battery. The camera bundle comes with one memory card and two batteries.

If there is a negative, it's the tripod. . . really light weight. I don't think it's suitable to support this heavy camera.

I'm not a camera expert so I can't give any additional technical analysis. But, as a person that recognizes a quality product, I highly recommend this...

Great product, poor service
love the camera. the order was missing a lens cap and the vendor pretty much said 'can't help you" so i called sony. the rep at sony was very helpful.

Best package ever
This package has many items and it and the bag carries lots of things. The good thing is that everything is new and included. This is more recommended than the regular product since it comes with more Items included, but the tripod is kind of unstable, otherwise the rest is great :D

Awesome (and very unique) camera
As soon as I saw this red camera, I absolutely had to have it. I did tremendous amounts of research to figure out if it was actually worth upgrading from my D40, then ordered it the day it became available on Amazon. While a few things might have been nicer on the Nikon, this camera is a wonderful upgrade. If the color isn't enough (this is for the red model if reviews become merged later on), it has some very nice specs to it. Ability to use essentially any Pentax lens ever made (and auto-focus), ISO 6400, 1/6000 shutter, many built-in imaging features(HDR, filters, color tweaks). This thing is truly a beast!

Body; When I first pulled it from the box, I was a little discouraged. While it is a well made camera, it does have a much lighter and cheaper feel than the Nikon had. The over-all fit and finish is fine, but the plastics don't feel as high quality. Perhaps it's because they're smooth, but it's also just my opinion. A slight concern, too, is that the red...

such a great ( and unique) DSLR
While attempting to find a good ,mid range ,entry level DSLR, I stumbled across the pentax K-x. I mean, how could I miss that flashy red color. And after extensive research it wasnt just the red color that attracted me to this camera.

First off ,after testing many of the canons and nikons around the k-x's class. ( i.e. canon xsi, t1i, nikon D3000, D5000) I found the pentax much eaiser to pick up and get started. Being a previous canon user myself, the T1i seemed far to intimidating. Right out of the box with the K-x I was able to figure out how to adjust settings and within 15 minutes had some half decent shots.
However the only thing that did not seem to make sense to me was the placement of the delete button ( all the way over in left field). My hand has to shift to hit it. Which i suppose is not a bad thing, considering there is something heartless about a delete button on a camera. ( I love film and am stuck in my ways)

The Pentax K-x is a giant killer!
I recently upgraded from my beloved Olympus e-510 DSLR with the 14-42mm and 40-150mm kits lenses in order to get a DSLR with better low-light performance and HD video capabilities. I loved my Olympus, but image quality took a nose-dive at ISO 800, and I liked the idea of having an HD camcorder built into my camera to capture high quality family photos and home videos in one device. I eventually settled on the Pentax K-x after first buying, and then returning, a Canon T2i.

I know that the T2i costs almost twice as much as the K-x, and they're not direct competitors, but I think my experience illustrates what a great camera and bargain the K-x is and how, for me at least, it was a giant killer.
